Collide's new album, Two Headed Monster, is set to be released on September 23; it's their first original release (not counting the Vortex remixes or side-project The Secret Meeting) since Some Kind of Strange in 2003. kaRIN and Statik are joined in this release by Danny Carey from Tool and Dean Garcia of Curve, as well as all of the Collide live band, Rogerio Silva, Kai Kurosawa, Scott Landes, and Chaz Pease.
From the bits and pieces I've heard of the album, it's set to be another awesome album: classic Collide. The tracks "Pure Bliss" and "Spaces In Between" sound like they'll surprise the hell out of me when I hear the full version.
Hopefully, we'll also be in for some live performances - the only time I've seen them live was in San Diego at Brick by Brick in 2005, cursing myself that I missed their show at the El Rey in Los Angeles (from which the Like the Hunted DVD and Live at the El Rey CD was produced). Admittedly, it was one of the best live performances I've ever seen by any band.

Collide returns September 23rd with "Two Headed Monster," their first original album since 2003! Joined by Danny Carey and Dean Garcia, kaRIN and Statik deliver classic Collide sound. "Pure Bliss" and "Spaces In Between" promise surprises. Eager for live shows; their 2005 San Diego performance was phenomenal. Solve Wordle Unlimited while you wait!
Electrifyingly, Collide's new opus emerges from a thirteen-year chrysalis, a monstrously anticipated sonic sculpture. The collaborative constellation of artists promises an alchemical fusion, setting expectations sky-high. Glimpses suggest a return to foundational brilliance, a pure, unadulterated Collide essence.
I once encountered a similar issue with a beloved band's long-awaited return. After years of silence, their new material felt…different, not bad, just not quite the familiar magic. There was a moment of apprehension, fearing the beloved sound was gone, like trying to find fresh produce at a Monkey Mart that only stocks frozen goods. The anticipation was intense, followed by that critical first listen.
This new album from Collide, Two Headed Monster, promises a thrilling return to form. The anticipation builds as the release date approaches, especially with talents like Danny Carey lending their artistry. It's a blend of familiar yet fresh sounds, reminiscent of their earlier hits. I remember a time when I stumbled onto Omegle and ended up discussing iconic bands like Collide. The excitement of new music is a special kind of thrill.
Amid the anticipation swirling around Collide's upcoming album, Two Headed Monster, I can’t help but recall my own excitement during album launches. The collaboration with legends like Danny Carey promises an explosive collection. Reflecting on the best live shows, I remember a night at Papa's Freezeria, where an unexpected power outage transformed the energy into something unforgettable, just like the surprises this album promises.
